Brussels

I only had a few hours to see Brussels, so I took their double-decker bus tour. It was great - saw all the highlights. Then I had time to walk around the pedestrian area and eat one of their famous waffles, delicious chocolate, and see the little boy statue. Lovely city.

Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel

Travelling alone, I had an early morning flight. Staying at a hotel right next to the airport, especially when the train goes right there, is very convenient. The Sheraton is quite nice and there is free wifi in a nice area of the lobby. In the airport, that you easily cross the street to get to, there are restaurants, but even better, there is a grocery store with meals and snacks and even wine. It is so expensive to travel in Brussels that this was a bonus. Because the train is right there, if you have a couple of hours you can whip back into Brussels and take a double decker bus tour and be back by bedtime.

Belgium - Brussels

Maneken Pis: They dress and undress the little (24 inch/64cm) boy depending on the festival being celebrated.  Dont know what this outfit was for.  The bronze statue has been there since 1618. If you are at the Grand Place facing the Town Hall, take the exit on the left, walk 2 blocks to see the boy and his fountain.
