India - Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal in Agra does not dissappoint. See it when it first opens as the monkeys are scattering away and the tourist crowds haven't arrived. The white marble is covered with gemstone decorations - stunning! It was built in mid 1600s to be perfectly symetrical, dedicated to the wife of the Shah Jahan. Everything was symetrical until the Shah's son added his father's coffin to the perfect interior and threw off the symetrics. The mosques on either side of the Taj are also worth a walkabout.
